Now, we know what you are all dying to know… What is the top destination for honeymoons? In fact, Greece is the most popular destination, followed by Italy, the UK and America. This shows that the usual Maldives island honeymoon is becoming a thing of the past, with couples instead opting for European and Caribbean destinations for 2024 honeymoons and beyond. 

Honeymoons can be expensive things, with couples saving up for that once-in-a-lifetime trip. The honeymoon budget varied between couples: 22% spend between £2000-£3000, 13% allocate £4000 to £5000 and another 13% indulge over £8000. It mostly depends on your personal budget and desires. But one thing we do know for sure, customisable experiences are on the rise, so make sure you try something new and personal on your trip!

When it comes to financing your getaway, Prezola noticed a staggering trend. A whopping 65% of couples used their gift list to fund the trip! This reflects the shift towards wedding gifts encompassing experiential gifts over physical items. 

Another growing trend is the 'buddymoon', with 14% considering this or a family honeymoon, highlighting a trend towards inclusive post-wedding vacations. A honeymoon is guaranteed to be a unwinding time, with 32% of couples having relaxing activites at the top of their list, whereas a balanced 29% were seeking adventure. After all, every couple is unique!
