Cyprus Real Wedding - Tash & Nick's Sun-Kissed Soirée

Tash and Nick honoured their marriage surrounded by the antique ambience of a Cypriot church and the natural colours of ancient stone.

A Sunlit Soirée

In a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony held at an intimate 12th century church, Tash and Nick’s dreamy wedding day felt fit for the gods and goddesses. From their cocktail reception at Adonis Gardens, to the twilight-lit meal at Zeus Square, to the shisha in the Aphrodite Circle, every detail of their special day was packed to the brim with elegance and class. Enwrapped in endless, twinkling fairy lights and the soft glow of the evening sky, the bride and groom tied the knot surrounded by the people they love most. “It was important for us both that our friends and family felt as important as we did during the wedding,” smiles bride Tash. “In total, we had around 80 guests, which to me felt enormous… But still small for a traditional Cypriot wedding!”

A Family Affair

The involvement of the bride and groom’s families and closest friends was a hugely important part of their wedding day. “Getting ready, I was surrounded by the most important and influential women in my life,” gushes the bride. “My Maid of honour Rachel, Bridesmaids: Katie, Jennifer, Lauren, Charlotte and Rebecca, my Mum Josie, and my big sister Charlie, who I had asked to be my Father-of-the-Bride, as my father passed away in 2016. Each of these beautiful and inspirational women helped to shape the person I am today.” This touching, family-first aspect of their ceremony added an additional layer of love and importance to the whole day.

A Dream Destination Dress

Bride Tash glowed in her fit-flare silhouette gown from Wedding Belles of Four Oaks; a low, open back, scalloped edges and stunning lace finishes all creating an ensemble regal enough for a princess. “For the first time in years, I felt feminine and beautiful,” blushes the bride. “I honestly wish I could channel how I felt in the dress in my everyday life.” Groom Nick’s beige three-piece suit complimented the rustic stone of the church perfectly, looking dapper and clean-cut under the blazing Cypriot sun. “As for Nick, his only problem was finding a light, summer suit suitable for the Cyprus heat, in cold wintery England!”

Picture-Perfect Personalisation

The bride and groom’s personalised, unique wedding day was one to remember for every member of the party. From their stunning, magical venue, to their carefully curated playlists, to the subtle, endless details incorporated to bring thoughts of the bride’s late Father to the forefront, every moment was the formation of a memory to be cherished. As of now, the special couple haven’t been on their honeymoon yet, despite some city breaks in Vilnius, Rome and Krakow. They plan to go travelling around South Africa and Mauritius next year for that perfect blend of exploration and relaxation.
