Lucy and Tim's Love On The Farm

A boho celebration with wildflower accents and a festival atmosphere, Lucy and Tim planned the perfect outdoor wedding at their family farm.

Roadtrip Romance

Lucy and Tim took their campervan for a springtime spin, and it ended up being a life-changing trip. "We had a lovely few days away in our campervan in Dumfries and Galloway. It was a beautiful day and Tim proposed while on a scenic walk around the coast. It was a complete surprise!"

Farm Festivities

The couple decided to keep their ceremony intimate, with just 35 family members at the local Registry Office, followed by private meal at the Beaumont Hotel. Later in the day, a total of 80 guests celebrated out in the open. "We went back up to my family farm for the after-party, where we had hired a beautiful tent and all our friends joined us."

Finding The One

When it came to the dress, Lucy wasn't sure on which style to begin with. "I didn’t really want to go to a traditional wedding dress shop, but my sister Robyn found the perfect place – Rock The Frock in Cheshire. Helen was absolutely amazing and helped me find the perfect dress by Lucy Can’t Dance. We only had a couple of months to do all the alterations but she made it all work out!"

The Bridal Party

Following the laid-back boho vibe, Lucy let her sisters choose their own bridesmaid dresses. "I didn’t have a theme so they could wear whatever they wanted. They have different styles and I thought it would feel strange to make them wear the same thing!" The groomsmen completed the rustic look in dapper matching blue suits, Tim standing out with a contrasting waistcoat and tie.

Flower Power

Bride Lucy couldn't wait to shower the day with blooms. "I’m a gardener so the flowers were the first thing I thought about! I chose Verde Flower Co for my flowers, an amazing mother-and- daughter team in County Durham who grow all their own flowers organically. I got to visit their garden a couple of days before the wedding and Caroline let me choose my own bouquet. I had all sorts of seasonal flowers in different colours and lots of scented foliage. She also made me a beautiful flower crown and buttonholes."

Natural By Design

The couple, who love the great outdoors, decided to draw inspiration from their surroundings. "The tent we chose was really beautiful so I felt like it didn’t need a lot of styling. We made our rustic wooden bar and DJ booth out of reclaimed wood and decorated it with foliage. We borrowed my sister's disco ball for the dance floor, and outside we had a big fire pit with hay bales to sit on which was really lovely in the evening when it got cold!"

Driving Into The Sunset

The newlyweds hopped in their trusty campervan for a few days in the Isle of Mull, with plans for a bigger honeymoon next year. We wish them love and happiness with every new adventure.
