Beneath a clear blue sky and surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Disneyland Paris, Anisha and Varun’s lavish celebration began in front of the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle, and lasted for over three fun-filled days! The decision to host their wedding celebrations at Disneyland Paris came into play after the special couple had shortlisted and narrowed down their search for an extraordinary venue... From historic palaces, exotic locations and some iconic properties around the world, bride Anisha and groom Varun discovered that nowhere other than the home of love stories could be the right place for them to begin a new chapter of their own... the most magical place on Earth!

Memories to Last a Lifetime

With over 400 guests from all over the world joining the couple on their wedding day, Disneyland Paris played host to one of the most magnificent Indian Wedding celebrations to date, where some of the finest memories of a lifetime were created for each and every person involved. Right from the beginning, the bride and groom’s glamorous celebrations were kicked off with constant fun and sweet surprises in true Disney fashion. Their guests were greeted by Maharajah Goofy at the Welcome Lunch at the Newport Bay Hotel, where most of the guests were staying, followed by a spectacular illuminations and special effects show that evening, which lit up the Castle and enchanted the wedding party and onlookers alike.

Endless Celebrations

That night was a themed dinner in Aladdin’s Agrabah Café, where everyone was greeted by the Genie himself, as well as Arabian cultures and cuisine on offer with traditional Middle Eastern-influenced entertainment. At what would typically be the end of such a charming, activity-packed day, was the ceremony itself! The civil ceremony took place right in front of the Castle at the stroke of midnight, with a customised Princess Fountain show, and a special fairytale entrance for the bride and groom. Finally, the afterparty was hosted at The Lucky Nugget, which took guests back in time to the Wild West; the sheriff's town filled with some of the most glamorous entertainment acts.

A fairytale Ending

The next morning saw all guests dressed up in their ethnic ensembles, preparing for the groom’s Baraat! This part of their celebrations saw an amalgamation of Disney Parade artists with Desi Dhol-trained dancers from around the world, dancing to both Disney choreographed sessions, and later merging with Punjabi Bhangra music and entertainment led by world-renowned artist, Juggy D, who led the Baraat with the Groom in a classic Cadillac! This beautiful part of the ceremony was held at the Pier of Newport Bay Hotel overlooking the lake and was yet another memorable, charming section of Anisha and Varun’s magical days. That evening, the guests were welcomed to the reception and afterparty, which was ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ themed – and aptly so, since it was hosted at the Walt Disney Studio 1, which was themed and conceptualised straight out of Hollywood in the 1950s! This journey from Bollywood to Hollywood transitioned from one event to another through different entertainment acts, music, artists, décor and culinary offerings.
