Alexa & Collin Embark On An Exotic Adventure in Portugal

The vibrant, flourishing vegetation of Espaco Quinta glowed bright beneath the summer sun on Alexa and Collin’s wedding day. Tucked away beneath the towering palm trees and charming, native greenery, their intimate ceremony took place with all of their favourite people overlooking them, and the bride and groom were able to fully immerse themselves in the beautiful surroundings. “Since it was a destination wedding, we knew that not everyone would be able to attend,” explains bride Alexa. “But we kept in mind that, whether they could come or not, everyone who was going to be invited should be someone that we really care and love, to make our day that extra bit more special.”

Classy decorations provided the ceremony with an additional touch of glamour – contrasting with the rustic charm of the traditional villa and its blooming gardens to create a romantic, stunning ambiance. Twinkling string lights draped through the trees, golden chairs lining the ceremony garden, and floral décor added to the stone water fountain; the bride and groom’s wedding was filled with pristine, thought-through detailing to really make the natural beauty of the venue pop. “The goal was to have romantic and stylish decorations,” smiles the bride. “That’s why we choose to use white flowers and green elements on the centrepiece, and white candles to set the mood as the day went by. The tables were a simple but perfect choice: clean white cloths, with green and beige napkins and gold cutlery. We really liked how all of it turned out.”

The bride’s beautiful wedding gown fit in seamlessly with the soft elegance of the wedding’s atmosphere; stunning, overlayed embroidery decorating the dress and continuing around to the open back giving Alexa a faultless final look. “Most girls dream about their wedding dress as they grow up,” laughs the bride. “But, sometimes, we end up choosing a different style. As time goes by, it is perfectly normal to have other preferences. I ended up choosing a different fit… And I don’t regret it! It was the perfect dress for me.” Groom Collin blended in with the aesthetics of the surroundings with his grey and white ensemble, classic brown shoes and braces giving him a hint of colour. Together, the pair radiated grace and style.

There is no doubt about it that the bride and groom’s special day made enough memories to last a lifetime for everyone lucky enough to attend. Love and excitement at the forefront, it was impossible for the couple not to lose themselves in the celebration and have the time of their lives with the people who care about them. “Saying “yes” to the person that I love the most was a special moment. Every good and bad time leads to that moment. It feels even more special when we know that we’ve made the best choice by choosing that person to be our life partner.”
