Description
My approach to weddings is quite simple, I am a storyteller and my job as I see it, is to document the biggest day of your life in the least obtrusive way possible. That’s not to say I won’t talk to you, and you won’t see me. Generally, I’m trying to hide behind bushes, people, tables or walls. I’m there to photograph you and from time to time I may ask you to stand in a pocket of nice light but on the whole I’ll interfere very little and let the magic happen, capturing the day as it unfolds. Photographing all the details from the shoes and the dress hanging up, to the jewellery twinkling in light to the tears and laughs of the day. Wedding photography to me, is not just about capturing you looking happy.
Though it is important, the real essence of storytelling means that in 40 years when you look back at your wedding photos you remember the whole day and in great detail. If you are getting ready at your parents' house expect to see things that will remind you of their home. If you are getting ready at your own house expect to see pictures you have on your wall. These may not be of much interest to you now but in 40 years you’ll view the images in a different way to how you do today. I want your wedding photos to stand the test of time and transport you back to that chapter of your life. ...
