The Carlton’s mountain spa is set across three floors. As the indoor and outdoor pool steams serenely against the crisp air, the sprawling spa casts generous views over the valley. The Moving Mountain concept is tied throughout the concept here, centred upon natural healing with world-class science and medical research with treatments that use organic products. A wellness circuit invites guests to journey through a myriad of saunas, steam, relaxation rooms, plus a cold outdoor area to ground feet in a fresh powder of snow. A full line up of detoxifying and relaxing treatments sit alongside the beauty salon for hair and nail treatments and the gym and yoga studio.

The Carlton hotel’s reputation for luxury centres around its gourmet experiences. The most notable is two-Michelin-starred Italian restaurant Da Vittorio from the Cerea brothers with its theatrical plates of pasta. Meanwhile, upstairs is the Grand Restaurant. Under the leadership of Sicilian chef Salvatore Frequente, this impressive restaurant draws inspiration from the local Engadine nature. This is set within opulent furnishings from Ticino interior designer Carlo Rampazzi. The Etage bar next door is the epitome of elegance and leads onto the terrace for smart lunches under the sunshine. Whilst in celebration of Swiss culture, are the charming fondue gondolas which have been transformed into intimate Alpine dining.
