New York Bridal Fashion Week: New 2025 Trends to Watch

By Sophie Cappell

Last week was New York Bridal Fashion Week, which was as magical as predicted. Setting the trends for 2025, the designs included extravagant floral embellishments, a renaissance of colour and lots of inspiration from the natural world. This season we saw plenty of bridal designers pushing the boundaries of bridal dressing, offering brides for 2025 lots more scope to dress as their authentic selves and get creative with their wedding look.

Though so many designers inspired us for the upcoming season, here are some highlights from a few of our favourite designers for you to take a look through…

Claire Pettibone’s newest bridal fashion collection named ‘Secret Garden’  was deeply inspired by nature and each piece was romantically ethereal. Claire Pettibone brings ‘a deeply feminine sensibility and unique artistry to her collection of ethereal, vintage-inspired wedding gowns’

Each piece is beautifully detailed with embellishments, appliques and beautiful lace making her dresses undeniably unique and looking as if they jumped out of a fairytale romance novel. Pettibone’s collection is perfect for the hopeless romantic bride, who wants to express her personal sense of style on her wedding day whilst looking like ‘a poetic version of breathtaking beauty.’

One of our favourite bridal designers Ines Di Santo also released a beautiful collection last week. Again featuring very ethereal shapes and lots of delicate lace work. We also noted her usage of tulle in order to create more imaginative shapes for the bridal gown. From full-length flute sleeves to fresh takes on the full skirt.

Ines Di Santo is certainly setting the tone for a revolution on bridal gown tradition with many of the pieces unveiled in the recent collection veering away from ivory and white. The Fall 2025 collection features lots of pinks and blues as well as gorgeous floral print work that feels very modern and fresh for the season ahead.

Haute Couture meets bridal fashion at Nicole + Felicia, their recently unveiled collection pushes the boundaries of bridal dressing whilst still managing to maintain wearability and elements of tradition. Each dress unveiled at NYBFW is a sculptural piece in and of itself.

We are obsessed with Look 17 with its baby-pink colour, large floral applique design and feather embellishments. It veers away completely from bridal traditions in both colour and style, yet the shape of the skirt makes it obviously a wedding gown.

Feather work and unique embellishments are heavily featured in Nicole + Felicia’s new collection with one look offering a show-stopping feather cape and train and another including a pair of barely there gloves that give the illusion of water droplets falling from the arm.

Woná Concept unveiled their newest collections at NYBFW with a stunning runway show, featuring the groundbreaking Special Edition from the Atelier line and The Swan Collection from Wona White. Wona’s dresses celebrate individuality and modern femininity, inviting brides to express their unique essence on their special day.

The Swan collection had a distinctly pearlescent look giving each of the pieces an air of romance and mystery through rich silks, beading and intricate embroidery. Interestingly many of the pieces in the collection were mini gowns, suggesting that shorter hemlines are very much still in vogue for the 2025 bride.
