The Gore London

Quintessentially English_service

Ideally positioned in Kensington, just a stone’s throw away from London’s main attractions, The Gore London – Stahotels Collezione has been an iconic beacon of British hospitality since it first opened its doors in 1892. The boutique hotel is the perfect stop to unwind after a long and busy day spent around the city. Step into a world where Victorian eccentricity meets urban chic. Antique furniture, dark oak notes and exquisite artwork intertwined with quirky touches create a picture-perfect backdrop to delight in a tasty afternoon tea experience, especially if you are sitting in The Library, featuring plush sofas to sink in, a beautiful mahogany bookcase to make you feel at home and an ornate fireplace to cosy around.

The Quintessentially English Afternoon Tea pays homage to the proud tradition and heritage of the hotel, dating as far back as when it was under the patronage of Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria. A staple in classic British hospitality, the newly-launched afternoon tea, envisioned by Head Chef Frederick Forster, is a journey of taste through the centuries and an ode to modernity. From a selection of traditional scones, smoked salmon and lemon butter sandwiches to a selection of exquisitely presented seasonal cakes inspired by British patisserie practices, you are in for an unforgettable culinary treat!

The Quintessentially English Afternoon Tea service starts from £55 per person with an option for a Quintessentially English Sparkling Afternoon Tea for £70 per person, or a Quintessentially English Sparkling Rosé Afternoon Tea for £75 per person. Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.
