1. Peach Fuzz

Incorporate tones of Pantone’s colour of the year. A bit of Peach Fuzz is perfect for a sunny destination wedding. Whether you decide to include the popular hue into your wardrobe and dress code or mix it into your décor, this colour is fun and easy on the eye, especially for your dream outdoor soirée.

2. Asymmetric Floral Arch

Couples searching for a unique detail to elevate their special day will love this new trend! Asymmetric open arches are making sway in the wedding realm. These original arches not only ooze modernity but also create a beautiful frame of the lovebirds standing at the altar, especially overlooking an enchanting lake or sea view.

3. Champagne Tower

If you open Instagram or ask your friends who have recently attended a wedding, they will inform you that one of the main moments was the internationally celebrated Champagne tower. Whether at the start of the drinks reception or before the cutting of the cake, couples love the idea, which is both great for photo opportunities and to entertain guests.

5. Live Drawings

Weddings are becoming ever more candid and personalised, and one way to do so is with a live drawing station. You can hire someone to create a live drawing of your ceremony, or you might want to use your live drawing station as an opportunity to leave your guests with a tangible memory of the day with a caricature of them.

5. Drone Weddings

When it comes to photography and videography, the options are now endless. What couples love is having drone footage of their wedding to see how everything unfolded from above. Especially, if you are having a destination wedding amidst a stunning backdrop, you want it to be centre stage and thanks to drones, you can capture the entire beauty of your location with you saying hi from below.

6. Content Creators

Social media plays a massive part in our lives and there is no denying it certainly plays a huge role on your wedding day, so having a professional content creator by your side to document your day and then transform your moments into impressive reels and stories is key to curating flashbacks of your day for the whole world to see.

7. Change of Outfit

Those celebrating their wedding abroad, especially somewhere warm, might want a quick outfit change to freshen up or feel more comfortable before dancing the night away. One way not to ruin a gorgeous long dress or bespoke suit is to change into something more casual or designed for the night to avoid any spillage and sweat marks as you have the most incredible party with your favourite people.

8. Mobile Carts

For late-night snacks, snack trucks are increasing in popularity. When organising a destination wedding, these can offer local produce and drinks to truly represent the country and region you are in. Think about Prosecco or gelato in Italy or churros in Spain. Not only will they keep guests happy, but offer plenty of fabulous photo opportunities.

9. From Mini-moon to Honeymoon

Newlyweds want more occasions to celebrate their love after their nuptials. After an overwhelming wedding day, opting for a mini-moon close to home seems like the better option and with a destination wedding, just savour it for a couple of days after your big day. And, then the trend is to plan the far-flung honeymoon for later in the year with more days off.

10. Honeymoon Fund

Instead of creating a registry for things you might already have or might not necessarily need, opt for a honeymoon fund, which you can organise via a travel agent. Get them to help you curate an itinerary and experiences with fixed prices. Your loved ones can then pick and buy you the activity they think suits you best. Or if you wish to spend little time organising this, simply set up a fund where guests can pitch in whatever they can.
