Costanza & Fabio: A Fairytale Wedding

Our wedding unfolded in the breathtaking Cathedral of Santa Maria in Cagliari. Our enchanting ceremony set the tone for a day filled with beauty and grace. Following the vows, the celebration moved to the historic Villa d’Orri, Sardinia’s only royal villa, where the Savoy family once spent their idyllic summer days.

At the heart of this meticulously planned event were the remarkable skills of wedding planner Xenija Vakultschyk and the expertise of XL Events. Drawing inspiration from the villa’s rich history, Xenija and her team created a celebration that was a tribute to the aristocratic gatherings of yesteryear. The grand gardens, with their timeless elegance, played host to a celebration that combined style, gourmet cuisine, and delightful musical entertainment. Central to this theme was the exquisite blue Toile de Jouy texture, a classic French fabric that adorned all graphic elements and table settings, creating a seamless blend of sophistication and tradition. As guests arrived at the villa, they were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink in the picturesque Italian gardens, around the villa’s iconic fountain. They were then led to the inner courtyard, where an array of appetisers awaited them under the shade of four majestic, century-old fig trees. Setting the perfect musical ambience, the Boys4Road, a talented quartet known for bringing acoustic Italian music to prestigious venues across Italy, welcomed everyone with their soulful tunes.

Guided by the enchanting melodies, guests made their way down the main garden avenue to a breathtaking sight: a single 74-meter-long table set under a custom-made canopy of light fabrics and lush garlands. The stunning floral arrangements by XL Floral, featuring single-variety blooms that celebrated each flower’s unique beauty, added an extra touch of magic to the scene.

The culinary delights continued with appetizess and a sumptuous lunch prepared by the renowned Sardinian chef Luigi Pomata. As the afternoon sun began to wane, the festivities moved to the villa’s panoramic terrace, where guests enjoyed the breathtaking views and the cake-cutting ceremony. The journey to the terrace was itself a memorable experience, as guests ascended the monumental side staircase, beautifully adorned with gypsophila, creating a dreamlike backdrop for photos opportunities.

Pastry chef Leonildo Contis crafted the stunning cake, which took centre stage beneath the main French door that opened onto the villa’s luxurious rooms. The cake table, draped in Toile de Jouy and surrounded by towering white delphinium arrangements, was a sight to behold. With the extraordinary vision and flawless execution by XL Events, our wedding was not just an event, it was a fairytale brought to life.
