Chloe & Ben: Let It Snow

MISTLETOE KISSES

After getting engaged on Christmas Day in 2021, the couple decided to stick to the festive season for their wedding date by plumping for the 16th of December 2022 to make the most of the party mood.

WINTER WONDERLAND

When searching for the perfect winter venue, they agreed it had to be a barn in the Cotswolds. “We fell in love with The Great Tythe Barn as soon as we saw it,” they cooed, “we could decorate it with winter flowers and fairy lights and it had a Manor House for photos, an Orangery to get ready in and enough space for all our family to stay.”

A HELPING HAND

Chloe and Ben were keen to give a shoutout to their best suppliers, the photographer and band. “Poppy is so much more than a talented photographer, she’s like an extension of the family and was SO helpful on the day ensuring timings went to plan,” they gushed, “our band, Supatight, were equally special and created such a fun party atmosphere. They got so many compliments and even played a surprise metal song for Ben!”

AISLE STYLE

Choosing a dress was the most exciting part of the planning for Chloe, a self-confessed wedding dress obsessor… sounds like our kind of bride! “I spent hours researching styles and designers and finally fell in love with the Operetta gown by Suzanne Neville,” she told us, “It definitely made a statement and I paired it with a pink feather jacket by Liberty in Love to keep me warm in the snow.”

CHERISHED MEMORIES

Family played a big part of the day for the couple and formed unforgettable memories. “Seeing my children walk down in the aisle in front of me was so special,” Chloe explained, “our eldest son has severe learning disabilities and to see him voluntarily stand up and walk down the aisle holding his Granny’s hand is a moment I will never forget.”

DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW

Despite planning a winter wedding, the couple had no idea it would actually snow on the big day. Fearing cancellations and delays because of the weather, Chloe and Ben were delighted when the roads cleared but a dusting of snow stayed, leaving blue skies as the perfect backdrop. “I couldn’t believe how beautiful it looked, it felt like a dream!”

TWINKLE TOES

Chloe had found her sole-mate in a pair of Jimmy Choos before she was even engaged… “I wore stunning pearl Jimmy Choos and they were really comfortable,” she gushed, “but I hadn’t anticipated the weather and it turns out open-toe shoes are not the best choice for snow photographs! Luckily, I ended up dancing in my slippers which was heavenly!”
