How to Style a Bridgerton Wedding

Looking for ways to incorporate Bridgerton styling into your wedding planning? Use Tree of Hearts stationery to give a nod to the trending series.

So you’ve found your Duke and you’re in the depths of wedding planning, but how can you incorporate one of the year’s biggest trends into your big day?

The highly-anticipated second series of Bridgerton has sent searches for Regency fashion and home decor soaring - and the wedding industry is seeing the impact, too.

It’s a trend that wedding stationery favourites Tree of Hearts predicted at the start of the year, and they have already seen a 60% increase in searches for Regency-inspired stationery.

“Regency period fascination is subtly finding its way into 2022 and 2023 weddings,” explained founder Lisa Forde.

Lisa said there’s many ways to incorporate your favourite Netflix show into your big day from wedding invitations to wedding party outfits.

1. Choose a Regency-era venue

“If you’re at the very early stages of your planning and you’re venue hunting, why not consider a Regency-era wedding venue - or better yet, one of the many UK filming destinations?” said Lisa.

“A big grand great hall is a perfect setting for a traditional wedding breakfast!”

2. Utilise a Regency Blue colour palette

“The soft but striking pastel blue is a perfect wedding colour palette to base your big day around.

“You can be as subtle or as bold as you like with a colour scheme, whether you bring it in early for your Save the Dates and then again as table runners on the day, or make it a key part of the day with bridesmaids wearing Regency Blue dresses.”

3. Regency fashion, hair and makeup

“Whether it’s your wedding dress or the bridal party, be inspired by the Regency era’s love of big dresses and big hair.

“Daphne’s iconic auburn hair rocked some gorgeous hairstyles - all perfect for your wedding day.”

4. Handwritten notes

“Of course in Bridgerton there is no Whatsapp or emails just Lady Whistledown’s handwritten messages, you could add a personal touch to your big day with handwritten invitations, thank you cards or wedding favours.

“You don’t need to write an essay, but a few personalised lines can really mean a lot to guests.”

5. Music and entertainment

“The Bridgerton playlist was one of the show’s biggest hits and we’re expecting a few more chart toppers over the next week as the second series kicks off.

“A string quartet is a great nod to the Regency-era, and when they play modern songs, it’s always a hit with guests who can try to guess the tune!”
