Katie & Jon's Elegant Wedding in Marbella

Beneath a Canopy of Flowers

Blooming blossom trees and a baby pink castle were the views of Katie and Jon’s sweet ceremony – towering, vibrant palm trees and the warm Spanish sun making an appearance, too! With twinkling fairy lights wrapped around tree trunks, to blossom-stem décor and classy chandeliers overhanging above the reception tables, every element of the bride and groom’s wedding day was colourful, glamorous, and cute! “I had heard of this venue as my family plays golf there, and once finding out it’s where Obama and JLo stay, I thought: if it's good enough for them, it’s got to be good enough for us!” laughs the bride. “It did not disappoint. It was a true Disney fairytale - the venue where all our wedding party could stay together for the whole weekend. Everything was so special and different, it was stunning!”

Surrounded by Love

Despite hosting a destination wedding, nearly all of the bride and groom’s invited guests arrived! The pair were able to spend their special day surrounded by over a hundred of their favourite people, soaking up the rich heat and immersing themselves in the hypnotising decorations of the villa. All together in the tropical sun, the bride, groom and guests alike were able to bask in the atmosphere, enjoying a relaxed celebration. “We were very chilled! Jon went off to play golf, and I hung around the pool and went swimming with my son Cassius, while the bridesmaids started the getting ready process… As I had 8 bridesmaids, I knew it was going to be a long one!”

Princess Glow

The bride glowed in her stunning wedding gown – her long, flowing train and classy, floral embellishments gave a princess-like edge to her finished look. “I had followed Berta for a long time, and I was always drawn to their dresses,” explains the bride. “I went to London to try on different styles, but I found my dresses (yes, plural!) at a local bridal shop: Knutsford Wedding Gallery. My grandparents came to my fittings and bought my dresses for me. My main dress was a Berta Privee fishtail with a very long train and Berta veil. My second dress was also a Berta, and I had all the lining cut out, so it was sheer and sexy. I think the seamstress thought I was crazy for cutting up a Berta!” The bride ensured a sweet little touch in her Sophia Webster shoes… Her ‘something blue’ were her heels! Finally, her Eden Luxe tiara completed the regal ensemble, making the bride feel as beautiful as her surroundings.

Party Scene

Katie and Jon’s fun-filled wedding day was packed with unique, quirky details which had their personalities popping out to the forefront! From a live singing waiter to dancing robots, to an exclusive beach club, the newlyweds certainly know how to have fun, and their wedding day proved just that.
