Things To See & Do in Paphos
Asimina Suites Hotel is well located for all the activities in and around Paphos, so make the most of the amenities on offer. July and August are great times to go and stay, providing a tranquil adults-only haven for couples who don’t want to stay in family hotels. It’s an idyllic spot to host the intimate wedding you have always dreamed of, with the sea as the perfect backdrop to begin your magical honeymoon in Cyprus…

Walk hand in hand along the promenade from Asimina Suites Hotel into the Harbour and town. It’s an amazing walk along the coastline with several hotels and their own private sections of beach, ranging from adults-only to family-friendly, each one looking as joyous as the next. Along the Harbour, you’ll find kiosks selling water activities and souvenirs, with a good range of gift shops as well as a variety of restaurants, for you to enjoy local food and drink. It’s such a great way to spend time just the two of you with amazing Cypriot sunshine and hospitality.
PAPHOS CASTLE
A visit to the Castle is a must! It’s located on the west side of the Harbour surrounded by the sea. What survives today is a small section of the castle after the Ottoman reconstruction of the western Frankish tower and its Venetian additions. You can see 50 metres to the east the survival of the second Frankish tower. The castle has a single entrance on the east side and has small windows, with an inscription above the entrance stating that the castle was rebuilt by the Ottomans in 1592 after its destruction by the Venetians. The most recent use of the castle was as a salt warehouse during British rule until 1935, when it was declared an ancient monument by the Department of Antiquities and is now open to the public.
PAPHOS MOSAICS
A visit to the Archaeological Park of Kato Pafos is a must! A short walk from Paphos Castle and the Harbour, you’ll see the villas of four Roman noblemen, with stunning mosaics on the floors. The villas were the homes of Dionysos, Theseus, Aion and Orpheus and date from the 2nd – 5th centuries. It’s amazing how well-preserved the mosaics are and how big the villas were, with a small theatre close by where the acoustics remain impressive when you speak to the audience’s seats. There is so much history in this magical park, you could spend all day there.
