Vasko’s proposal was as unexpected as it was unforgettable. There was a single rose placed in front of me, and he asked me to pluck its petals one by one.
Hidden within the delicate folds was a beautiful engagement ring. When I looked up, Vasko was down on one knee, asking me to marry him. It was the most romantic surprise imaginable and even more special because it happened on 15 March, the exact date we had first met five years earlier.

With more than 200 guests travelling to celebrate with us, it was important to find a venue that felt both spacious and personal. The Hyatt Regency Sofia captured that balance perfectly. Its modern design, sophisticated interiors and impeccable service created a setting that felt luxurious without being overwhelming.

We imagined a wedding that was gentle, refined and minimalist, where every detail would feel intentional and harmonious. The incredible team at Wedding Café Boutique understood this vision completely and brought it to life with precision and artistry. Together, we curated every detail of the décor, from the delicate table arrangements to the soft lighting that gave the space an ethereal glow.

Flowers played a central role in creating the look we wanted. I have always loved white eustoma, so we combined them with gypsophila and white roses to form a floral design that was simple, pure and timeless. The arrangements echoed our theme throughout the day, from the ceremony backdrop to the table settings. Even our cake reflected this theme with a three-tier design covered in white icing and decorated with real flowers that tied everything together beautifully.

According to Bulgarian tradition, the groom comes to take the bride from her family home, and that moment was one of the most emotional parts of our day. It symbolised the union of two families and the beginning of our new chapter together.

We began the evening with traditional Bulgarian folk songs that touched everyone’s hearts, followed by a lively mix of contemporary music that kept the dance floor full until late into the night. Live singers added a personal touch, making the entire evening feel vibrant and unforgettable.

Looking back, we both agree that choosing Wedding Café Boutique was one of the best decisions we made. Their creativity, dedication and eye for detail transformed our ideas into something truly extraordinary.
