St.moritz, Switzerland

When Tom and I started planning our wedding, we knew we didn’t want it to be confined to a single day. St. Moritz has been such an important part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I wanted to share the magic of this place with everyone we love. We decided on a three-day celebration, each event reflecting a part of our story and our connection to Switzerland.
The Welcome Party at Paradiso:
We wanted to surprise our guests from the moment they arrived and give them a truly Swiss experience. Watching our guests take it all in, the sound of the horns echoing through the mountains and the golden light over the peaks, was unforgettable.

The Wedding Day at The Kulm:
For our wedding day, we chose The Kulm, a place that means so much to me. I’m a sixth generation Cresta Run member, and The Kulm has always been at the heart of that tradition. It is where prize ceremonies, dinners, and the annual meetings are held, so it has always felt like home.

Beyond its sentimental value, The Kulm is breathtaking. With sweeping views over Lake St. Moritz and its classic, gilded charm, it feels like stepping back in time. Our ceremony took place at St. John’s Church in St. Moritz. I was shaking as I walked in, trying not to cry and ruin my makeup!
My dress was by Caroline Castigliano, from her flagship boutique in Knightsbridge. It was embroidered with delicate botanical trails that cascaded into soft falling leaves down the train. I wore a full length veil over my face as I entered the church, something I had dreamed of since I was little, and my father lifting it will always be one of my favourite moments. To complete the look, my aunt lent me a stunning diamond tiara that sparkled in the Alpine light.

Our readings were deeply personal. One was a poem by the wonderful Elizabeth Day, and the other was a spoken word version of From Now On from The Greatest Showman, a film that has always been special to us. Both pieces captured the spirit of hope and partnership we wanted for our ceremony.

The Recovery Brunch at The Cresta Run Clubhouse
We ended the weekend with a recovery brunch at The Cresta Run Clubhouse, which felt like the perfect full circle. My family has been involved with the Cresta since the early 1900s, and the Bott Cup, named after my family, is the oldest cup at the Cresta. We showed our guests around and pointed out my ancestors’ names on the boards which was a priviledge and shows how special this place is to us.
