A renowned disruptor and first mover, green entrepreneur Dale Vince’s vision was born over three decades ago, while living off-grid in his very own modified van. Dale is powered by the philosophy that living well doesn’t mean giving up the good things – just doing them better.

Dale was looking for ways to not just capture carbon from the atmosphere but in a permanent way, and of course, a diamond is the purest form of condensed carbon. He spent over five years developing an entirely new process at our diamond mining facility in the Cotswolds which now makes negative emission diamonds from the sky through innovative design, not off-setting.

SKYDIAMONDS ARE CARBON-NEGATIVE BY DESIGN. HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

Compared to both mined and lab-grown diamonds, the Skydiamond process is the only one with negative emissions as certified by Imperial College London. This is due to the use of 100% renewable electricity, direct air capture for CO2, and hydrogen production from the electrolysis of rainwater. All the ingredients of our stones come from the world around us – we work with Mother Nature, not against her.

WHAT MAKES SKYDIAMONDS STAND APART FROM LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS?

While a Skydiamond is technically created through science and advanced engineering, it leads a new wave in diamond creation due to a first-of-its-kind production process using only natural ingredients and end-to-end traceability.
